Located between the rugged Taurus Mountains, Sapadere Canyon is surrounded by high mountains on three sides and stretches for 750 meters. It is situated 400 meters above sea level, with an average width of 10-15 meters, and is surrounded by karstic rocks rising to 150-200 meters. The water, emerging from the rocks of the Taurus Mountains, is cold and rich in oxygen.
Opened to the public in 2008, the canyon features wooden platform walkways built on steel structures for easy access. Some areas have been secured with fences for safety. The walk through the canyon starts with a gentle slope and, at times, becomes more exciting with 10-15 degree inclines.
